Downtown Kalamazoo

Downtown Kalamazoo, Inc (DKI) is one of the largest companies that use The Event Company to plan their events. Working with a volunteer team called The Special Events Committee, the following events are held each year. All of the events are free to attend. The DKI events are retail promotion focused and the DKA Charities (DKAC) events are community focused. First Quarter Events:

• Great Winter Adventure and Chili Cook-off–January 19 (DKAC and DKI Combined)
• Art Hop –March 7 (DKI)

Second Quarter Events:

• Add Hop – a Healthy Alternative – May 2 (DKI)
• Art Hop - June 7 (DKI)
• Art on the Mall –June 6-7 (DKAC)
• DoDah Parade –June 7 (DKAC)
• Mixer on the Mall –June 4, 11, 18, 25 (DKAC)
• Plein Air Art Event –June 21 (DKI)

Third Quarter Events:

• Mixer on the Mall –July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (DKAC)
• Summer Sidewalk Sales –July 10-12 (DKI)
• Mixer on the Mall –August 6, 13, 20, 27 (DKAC)
• Click Downtown – End of August (DKI) Tentative
• Bronco Bash –Could be September 5 (DKI) *Not confirmed
• Auto Show –Typically the weekend after Labor Day (DKI)
• Street Rods Shopping Tour – September 13 (DKI)
