2012 Promises to be EVEN Better!
Happy 2012. We hope that you had a great 2011 and are now ready for another fabulous 2012 event year.
If you are looking for experience in learning how to plan an event. please consider these planning committees that need your help.
Community Advocates Ribfest - looking for committee members to help plan the 2012 event. The group meets monthly and helps to determine not only the structure of the event but the flavor. Seriously, this is a committee that reviews the events, helps to pick the bands, and determines the special events. Since its inception, Ribfest has raised over $910,000 for Community Advocates.
New Year's Fest - looking for board members who help to plan the event on December 31. New Year' s Fest is a 501-c-3 organization and the board meets monthly January through May, and August through December. Board members are asked to serve on a committee that meets on an as needed basis.
Roof Sit Planning Committee - this is a committee coordinated by The Community Healing Centers. The event date is May 17-19. The committee meets monthly and all the money raised through Roof Sit supports children who have been abused and neglected, as well as raising money to support Infant and Parent Services.
