Contractual Services

The Event Company provides contractual services for marketing and public relations strategy development and implementation. Current clients include the City of Kalamazoo, City of Parchment, and the Battle Creek Community Foundation. Marketing and Public Relations strategies are developed for city positioning events, street construction projects, and the development of festival management models.

Deborah Droppers is also an instructor at Western Michigan University (WMU) in the School for Public Affairs. For nine years, Deborah Droppers has been an instructor with an emphasis on nonprofit marketing and event management. The two classes include PADM 3000 a nonprofit leadership class targeted to WMU Juniors and Seniors and PADM 5000 a graduate level nonprofit marketing class. Working at WMU affords the opportunity to work with students and to explore the academic and “real world” challenges of marketing and public relations. As a learning environment, The Event Company hires students to assist with the day to day operation of nearly 62 events in Kalamazoo.
